August 16th, 2014 Progressive dinner At 2PM 40 club members (approximate since I was told everyone moved too fast to get an accurate count) with 16 or 17 (depending upon who counted) Classic Thuderbirds showed up at the home of Loren & Donna Wagnild. Plus there was a Retro 'Bird, two Ford Flex's, one F150, one Explorer and one Subaru. Loren and John Calkin did the barbecuing of hamburgers, brats and polish sausage. There was a huge selection of salads and condiments available. If anyone went away hungry it was their own fault. The real highlight of the day was that Zane and Diane Clark were able to attend. Diane had a mild stroke just two weeks prior but was feeling well enough to attend. Loren Wagnild presented a glass ornament made by his sister-in-law to Diane as her "Guardian Angel". A photo of Diane and the ornament is shown near the end of the photos below. Loren held a short business meeting and we all caravaned to the home of Bruce and Becky Jensen. There were so many desserts available they could have been the entire meal. It was a typical Car Club or Church function with lots of food and calories available. Several photos are shown below. The only photo I took at the Jensen's was of the sign next to their front door. I think it of great style and substance. It is shown last.
