Saturday, June 18th dawned bright, beautiful, and warm - - Somewhere but not in Portland, Oregon!
It was overcast with rain threatening and "snowing heavy" at Timberline Lodge. So our event coordinator, Gary Coe, made an executive decision and changed our tour and lunch location. Rather than driving to Timberline we left Troutdale and took numerous back roads across the western slope of Mt. Hood to Sandy. After a brief "coffee relief" stop in Sandy we headed towards Estacada and ended up at Stone Cliff Inn in Carver. There we had a really great lunch with a beautiful view of the Clackamas River, if you were facing the right direction. Even though we had a brief business meeting planned that was scrubbed because we didn't have a private room and the restaurant was too busy and loud for us to do that. Below are a few photos taken at Stone Cliff. Thanks to Gary for planning this.
