Our Christmas Lunch was held at McMenamins Chapel Pub in North Portland.
We had 22 people present for this event all in one room that holds 24 at the most. So we were cozy, but had no others in the room for extraneous noise or conversations to put up with, and the one Waitress did an excellent job. A bit unusual for a group of this size we were able to order off of the menu. After we all ate we had a brief business meeting where the nominees for 2024 Officers were elected unanimously. We still left this meeting without a Vice President. A few day later President Elect Martha Brunelle let me know that Paul Lawson had indicated he would be willing to serve as VP. Thanks Paul! We also reviewed the 2024 event planning from Nov, several more events were suggested and added to our Calendar of Events
The day was what I call a Winnie the Pooh day, it was heavily overcast, pouring down rain with a wind blowing. You may remember one of the Winnie the Pooh books was titled: Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day.
