On Saturday, February 10th 22 of our members met for a fun day of pizza, salads, and soft drinks. We followed that with a lively auction of dessert pastries, cakes pies and candies. Again Dave Van Winkle conducted the auction but this time with the help of his twin granddaughters. After expenses for the food we raised over $300 for a new food bank. Bob Murray's grandson (a Junior in High School) has started a food bank for those in need at his school. Along with the fun we had a brief business meeting where we voted to donate $500 to the Smokey Mountain Thunderbird Club to help them with the CTCI International Convention in Knoxville this summer. The photo above is of a cake that VP Jim Peterson had made using a photograph of his own car. This item brought in over $50 (I know that because I bought it!). Oleta took it to a Women's event at our church that evening. They all knew who brought it but were a little afraid to cut into it. Enjoy the photos below.
