It was rainy and cold on Saturday the 16th, but toasty and warm hearted at the Guide Dogs for the Blind graduation ceremony at the organization’s Boring campus.
Jeff and Jeannie Gretz first led us on a scenic tour through the countryside. After a ‘challenging’ lunch (yikes! slow service) we headed over to Guide Dogs where 6 new graduates were ready to head out into the world with their happy, new, canine partners.
It is an emotional and gratifying time for everyone involved. The dogs, their blind humans, the puppy raisers and the Guide Dogs trainers were all participating in the joyous occasion.
Some club members stayed to go on campus tours, visiting the kennel kitchen, the vet clinic and the beautiful dormitory.
