The tour will stay in the Astoria area, some changes had to be made to the tour listed in the August Bird Watcher due to construction. More details below

Meeting Saturday, September 21, 2019, 9:30, at McDonald's, 3208 NW Yeon Ave., Portland.Driver's meeting and then depart 10:00 via Hwy 30 to Clatskanie for a coffee break then on to Astoria. We will park at the Comfort Suites Hotel and take the trolley to lunch at the Buoy Beer pub overlooking the Columbia. Afternoon activities include Maritime Museum with free time after to explore the city, then gather together Saturday evening for dinner. Breakfast options include complimentary self serve buffet at the hotel or any other Astoria breakfast spot you choose. Sunday morning activities will be group choice depending on weather, Ft Clatsop, Astoria Column, Flavel House Historic Museum and grounds and others. Astoria is a gem of a location to hold an overnight event because it offers a lovely drive and so much to see and do. Day trippers are welcome, feel free to spend the day with us and head for home after the museum or Saturday dinner. October Tour October 19th Tour/Cruise of Scenic Clark County country roads will include a special (Club only) visit to the Cedar Creek Grist Mill and Covered Bridge along with a stop for lunch at the Fargher Lakehouse Restaurant.
The Grist Mill will be pressing apples or grinding corn. One of their volunteers will show us around and explain the operation.
Please gather at the Starbucks Parking lot 504 NE 139th St. Vancouver, Washington at 10:00am. depart at 10:20. Maps and directions will be handed out at that time.
If using I-5 North take Exit 7. Turn left onto 139th. Go over I-5 past second light and Starbuck's will be on the right.
