The two individuals above are long-time club members Dave Van Winkle and Howard Carlson. Dave passed away in February 2025 Howard moved to his home state of Minnesota shortly after his wife passed away in 2023. The photo was taken as the two were trying to figure out how to wire-in a new accessory on someones Thunderbird.

2026 Rose City/NW Vintage Thunderbird Club Picnic Mike and Nancy Hinsch's Home 15950 NE Becke Rd. Aurora, OR
It’s that time of year again to have our joint Thunderbird Club Picnic at Nancy and Mike's house in Aurora on Sunday, July 12th at 11AM. We will be doing things a little different this year. We will be having Buster’s BBQ, cater the picnic with all the food. Beef brisket and pulled pork for the meat, potato salad, baked beans, macaroni/cheese, bread and brownies for dessert. We will have assorted drinks and water as well. We are asking that members provide a suggested donation of $10 per person at the event. Nancy and Mike will donate the rest of the cost toward the meal. This will make it easier for everyone instead of trying to coordinate side dishes and desserts. We hope you can join us! Thanks!
